Peachy Green Smoothie
Peachy Green Smoothie
Did I come up with this recipe just so I could use the name? Yes, I did. But I luckily wound up with a new smoothie staple in the process!
This one reminds me of the dozens of Peaches I eat during the Summer. I’d top it off with fresh Blueberries if they were in season, but alas. More Hemp Seeds will do!
While we sit and wait for warmer days, frozen Peaches are a gem for bringing a touch of sunshine to the dreary PNW winter. I highly recommend picking up a bag n making this ginormous smoothie if the winter blues have got you down.
{ Difficulty: Level 1 } [ Makes ~40 oz ]
Ingredients
3 x frozen Bananas
1.5 cups frozen Peaches
1 x Orange
2 handfuls fresh Spinach
2 tbsp Hemp Seeds
1.5 cups Water
Equipment
Blender
Instructions
Peel and chop your orange.
Throw everything into a blender and blend on high speed till completely smooth.
Notes
If this smoothie is just too dang cold for the winter, opt for fresh, ripe Bananas instead of frozen ones. You may wind up needing less water
If you’ve got a high speed blender, try throwing a 1-inch chunk of fresh Ginger in this smoothie for a spicy flavor boost. Really helps to wake you up! If you don’t have a high-speed blender, the Ginger may not break up all the way. But if you try it and it works, let me know!
Could just be psychological but I find this recipe does actually brighten up my day. At least a little.
A wholesome and cozy meal for when you've got a lil extra time to make something warm. Improv friendly and adaptable to whatever Greens you've got.
