Spicy Pineapple Papaya Smoothie
This smoothie reminds me of February’s spent in the Santa Monica sunshine with a big ol cup of fresh Fruit, drenched in Chili Powder & Lime.
I love love love spicy food, so obviously I had to make a spicy smoothie. Feel free to add more than the recommended amount of Cayenne Pepper if you want a lil more of a kick.
I just love how energizing this blend is, it really wakes you up on a groggy morning.
{ Difficulty: Level 1 } [ Makes ~32 oz ]
Ingredients
2 x frozen Bananas
1 cup frozen Pineapple
1 cup fresh Papaya
1.5 cups water
1/4 cup Lime Juice
1/4-1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Pinch of Salt (optional)
Tajin or more Cayenne Pepper for topping off
Equipment
Blender
Instructions
Throw everything into a blender and blend on high speed until everything is combined (about 1-3 minutes).
Pour into a nice tall glass, top with more Cayenne or Tajin, and enjoy!
Notes
The Cayenne isn’t completely necessary for this recipe, but I do think it adds a nice kick. Feel free to leave out if you’re not a fan of spice.
You can also use frozen Papaya if you’ve got some!
